Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) are a required part the Home Information Pack. This must be provided when most residential properties are offered for sale.
An EPC must also be provided to prospective tenants when a residential property is offered for rent from 1st October 2008
EPCs provide a snapshot of current energy efficiency and a guide to potential improvements
Independent Inspections are often required in the event of a dispute with a supplier.
